Mission Statement/Frank Family History

A History of Frank Elementary:

Frank Elementary is named for Martin Frank, born in 1849 in Oberwalluf, Hesse, Germany. Frank arrived in Texas in 1853 at the age of 3 with his parents, but was shortly thereafter orphaned. Martin moved to the Klein area in the 1870's, married Emilie Theiss, to whom he had 5 children prior to her death in 1886. During his second marriage to Philippine Krimmel, 11 children were born. Martin farmed and raised cattle on his homestead until his death in 1922. Frank left behind 31 grandchildren, and 83 great-grandchildren. Today, Frank family members own several businesses in the Klein area and Martin Frank's home still remains on the property near the intersection of Steubner-Airline and Spring-Cypress Roads.

Frank Elementary Mission Statement:

Frank Elementary provides each student with a safe, caring, and stimulating environment that fosters academic achievement, character development, a healthy lifestyle, and the desire to be a life-long learner.
